Who doesn't like a little trampoline jumping in the morning? Rebounding is a fantastic (and fun) way to incorporate exercise that is also quick and easy to do.
Below I'll show you how...and why!
What: A rebounder, aka a mini trampoline.
Why: DETOX! The lymphatic system is the part of the body that flushes out toxins, which is a very important part in building a strong immune system. We have way more lymph than we do blood, so it is really important we keep it happy...and healthy! Rebounding gets the lymphatic system moving and therefore contributes in the overall detox of the body. It is extremely low impact so it's very easy on the joints.
How: My free time during the week is tight, so I squeeze in just a little bit here and there, wherever I can. Recently I have been spending 5-8 minutes in the morning jumping on my rebounder.
I usually stay in my PJs and walk over barefoot to the room next to the bedroom that houses my rebounder. Some rebounders are foldable so if space is an issue for you, don't fret, these trampolines are easy to store under the bed or in a closet.
Then, I assume the position: standing in the center of the rebounder. Your jump height can range from a few inches in the air to keeping your feet connected to the top of the rebounder. You will still reap the benefits of the jumping movement.
* Stay tuned for a how-to video, but for now feel free to follow the below recommendation.
Rebounder Exercise Routine:
60 jumps, straight up
60 jumps, with a slight twist left and then right
60 jumps, hopping your feet in together and out apart
REPEAT 1-2 times, or whatever your schedule allows
Practice your dismount - I like to jump as high as I can to have some fun!
Because, seriously, who doesn't have 5 minutes in the morning to jump on the trampoline! I swear you'll feel like a kid again!
And that is it! You are done. And you have stimulated the lymphatic system to help rid the body of toxins.
